America Recycles Day – Community Shred Event Results
Last November 4th the Environmental Services Division of Public Works hosted the annual free paper shredding event for Livermore residents in recognition of America Recycles Day. Approximately 230 households participated and an estimated six tons of paper and cardboard were collected for recycling. Here are some quotes from a few residents:
“Kudos to the City of Livermore for the well-organized, fast and efficient shred event held this morning in front of the police station. This year they had three shred trucks and several volunteers who directed traffic. I drove in and out in a few minutes!”
“So appreciate our City having this yearly. Never had this where we lived before and am grateful Livermore takes such good care of us.”
“Great service and execution was fast, efficient and with a smile. Thanks to all who participated and volunteered.”
